I have completed a year of college. Wow! In a field I'm interested in, a field that allows me to be versatile and help so many individuals. This journey has inspired me, it has prepared me. Has allowed me to become the best version of myself that I can be. I learned that listening to someone, truly listening to understand is far more effective than listening to respond. I learned about interviewing a person to help them arrive at a solution. I learned that a person has all the answers they need to succeed. Even when they're seemingly at rock bottom, they are the only one that knows how to help themselves. We can provide them with materials to succeed, however, if they don't try and use the knowledge that's inside them they will remain where they are. Success is what happens when we answer the difficult questions, the ones that we might not think about. I learned that life truly becomes easier when you have people around to make it more positive.
